Does understanding Reincarnation require past life regression?

No. It does facilitate accessing past lives but one can also access past lives through meditation and being in a higher state of consciousness. I was well aware of a past life in the Civil War long before using past life regression. Past life regression pinpointed the identity but was not necessary for me to know that I had participated in the Civil War.
